Organisation and Structure: The Executive Governor of the State is the visitor to the institution. The Governing Council wields the governing authority, directly representing the proprietor - the State Government. The Provost, Deputy Provosts for Administration and Academic matters, the Registrar, the Bursar, the Librarian, the Director of Works and the Director of Medical Services, all whom constitute the Management Board of the College. It has had four Provosts so far:
(i) Prof. M. A. Udofot          -   1991 - 1997

(ii) Dr. J. A. U. Ekong         -  1997 - 2002

(iii) Mr. Enefiok Andy          -  2002 - 2007

(iv) Prof M. E. Inyang-Abia  -  2007 - 2011

(v) Dr. P. J. Uko - 2011 till date

Vision of the College: To be the best College of Education in the country with standards comparable to those of similar institutions anywhere in the world.

Mission Statement: To produce teachers who will maintain excellent standards for the uplift of the educational goals in our society, to meet the people, and to make positive impact in the development of our society through the pursuit of Education for Excellence. Hopes to achieve these through a highly motivated, disciplined and well-trained workforce and in partnership with other stakeholders in the educational sector of our economy.
